This is one of the highly specialized scientific fields where ACN operates. We only operate in professional fields where we have world class specialist with state of the art and second to none technology. Pistachio Farming Management is one of them.
In 1973 the U.S. Department of Agriculture ended at the Station of Chico (California) the development of the Pistachio Cultivar for the U.S.A. At that time the program was close and its follow up and Extension to Farmers was transfer to the University of California at Davies. At Davies Professor Dr. Julian Crane and his team continue and expand the Pistachio Cultivar Research Program and trough the Agencies of Agricultural Extension the Know How was transfer to the farmers of Saint Joaquin Valle.
Its is at this point that the current ACN coordinators arrive at Davies and with the assistance of Julian Crane and Jerry Allen, from S & J Ranch in Madera, we initiate the long and intense learning of Pistachio Farming for its application to the Iberian Peninsula.
